I don't remember twisting it in my sleep. But I did.
So, how 'bout that Syria thing?
There's a kid who volunteers at the libary. Great kid. Plans on joining the USAF once he gets some stuff squared away (Canadian born US citizen). I've been trying to talk him out of it.
I don't want to see someone I have become quite fond of sent off on another rich man's needless war.
I am going to go write a few pages of a thing and try not to think about the fact that we've inched a little closer to another military quagmire.
And remember, there is a vast difference between supporting a war and loving and supporting our troops. You don't need to do one to do the other.
I love our men and women in uniform.
I abhor their lives being treated frivolously.
Postscript - I played this video as I had a separate tab with a news story on the Syrian bombing open. As the video began to play, audio from the news clip of #45 talking about Assad bombing his own people began playing. It was a bit ironic and surreal #45 talking about innocent Syrians being killed by their own government and how we needed to do something while this song played.
