I know you're disappointed.
But I am going to go back and watch the B-Rock speech. And the Gabby Giffords speech.
The last few days I have been on my Aaron Sorkin kick and yesterday was all about The Newsroom.
First, if you have never seen The Newsroom, you have likely seen the opening scene to the series.
I watched that yesterday and still, I had to stop and watch before typing another word.
We aspired to intelligence, we didn't belittle it.
I was watching the episode that ended with the Gabby Giffords shooting and I caught myself tearing up. Not because the shooting in Tucson was gut wrenching (it was), but because the words used were so perfect that on their own, without a surrounding incident, they made me feel things.
There aren't many people who can do that.
It's the opposite of word salad, I suppose. What would that make it? Word Mignon? Word Champagne? Word Orgasm?
Yeah, I like that last one.
The right words put together in the right order that paint a picture and make you feel a thing you weren't expecting to feel.
Okay, I have about a billion and one things to do today so be gone with you!
|Gotta send out a couple of these.|
