For my friends in the South, that means they come from England. England is another country.
Anyway, they play soccer there. They call it football.
When I have had no coffee and I see them posting about football (soccer) I run the gamut of emotions. Excitement, confusion and, ultimately disappointed.
For my friends in LA, that means I have all the feels. First :-), then :-/ and, ultimately :-(
Anyway, English friends, please use a parenthetical (soccer) for us morons on the other side of the pond when discussing that stupid game you love so much. Our brains are wired for world domination and war, not the subtle differences in our shared language.
Glad we had this chat.
