That's the one upside to skipping the pibble walk, I get to bring Sir-Barks-A-Lot along with us now.
Quick update over the last three weeks or so since the incident. Lucy and I have been re-establishing the nature of our relationship. She pretty much leaves Dexter alone completely anymore, which is a bit sad in its own right. But Dexter seems to be getting a little more relaxed when she's around again.
It took me a couple of weeks to not look at her with disgust and disappointment but, I did the ol' fake it til you make it routine and eventually I started to fall in love again.
In hindsight there were a myriad signs that Lucy was annoyed or stressed. That doesn't excuse her behavior, it just explains that I failed to do a good enough job of paying attention to what she was telling me.
Anyway, I still have every intention of calling a
