Thank you, good night!

The Chargers didn't lose yesterday so, whoo-hoo!

The fact that they didn't play doesn't change a thing. THEY DID NOT LOSE!

Don't care, just bein' a dog doin' dog stuff!
I've had a lot of things rattling around in my head since the Paris attacks but, it feels very much like beating my head against a brick wall.

We had a hand in creating IS/Daesh when we went into Iraq and left an unstable, untenable mess. To borrow a popular phrase from the not too distant past, we built that.

I don't pretend to know what the solution is. I do have a feeling that the solution is not more of the same that got us into this mess in the first place. It makes no sense to go to war with an enemy scatter shot all over the middle east without a long term rebuilding plan. Otherwise, we can go kill everyone in Daesh and end leaving another vacuum to be filled by extremists of another name.

Rinse. Lather. Repeat.

Great way to deal with dirty hair. Not so much for dealing with terrorists.

Frankly, as tragic as Beirut, Paris, even Kenya and Tunisia earlier this year are, we have more people dying here at the wrong end of a gun in a single month week than the US and Europe combined lose to terrorists in a year. And if we're talking just American lives, we lose more in a day to guns than to terrorists in a year.

War just seems counterintuitive when you consider that's what had a hand in creating this mess in the first place. More so when you consider the needless loss of life we deal with at home on a daily basis. Which we also created.

This is my favorite version of one of my favorite songs. It plays in my head whenever something tragic happens in the world. I'm not really sure why, it just does. And yes, I know I've shared it before.
