Once more unto the breach, dear friends, once more

I'm annoyed with Chargers fans.

Tonight Philip Rivers has the opportunity to become the first ever QB in NFL history to throw for 300 yards and 2 touchdowns in six consecutive games. If he does that and the Chargers win their record over the course of those six games will be 2-4. That's the best case scenario.

To Chargers fan, this proves he is elite.

For pointing out that this is not exactly something to be beating our chests about I have been getting lambasted on Chargers forums. Apparently, I am ignorant because I clearly do not understand the meaning of elite.

Nevermind that I can point out that three of our losses (2-6 so far) have come off the point differential of his turnovers. It would have been four but, thank god for the Browns and Minnesota just kicked our asses.

Don't get me wrong, I dig Philip. He's a good qb and with his stats he'll likely get into the HOF one day. Just like Dan Fouts before him.

At this point, I will take this generation's Jim Plunkett. Hell, I'll take Jeff Hostetler. Trent Dilfer. Doug Williams. I really can keep going, but the football nerds get the point.

Titty Sprinkles!

PS I apologize to everyone stuck watching tonight's Toilet Bowl.
