Okay, today is the last day I do that. I swear.
Uta Hagen just popped into my brain. I took an acting class and had to study her.
Yeah, that has nothing to do with anything.
|Okay, maybe it has to do with where my eyes wandered this morning|
Anyway, I was an awesome actor. I once aced a college theater class final with the closing monologue from Equus. That's my favorite play. The movie version sucked. I thought about posting the monologue from the movie, but oh my god no. Cripes, watching that makes me wonder what I was thinking.
I will tell myself that some things just don't translate well from stage to celluloid. Or maybe I'm just better than Richard Burton. Is he a sir yet? I don't care enough to google.
I'm writing a screenplay. It was inspired by a friend - a girl with a boy name - who decided to chuck it all and follow her passion, music. The idea has been simmering for some time. The catalyst for actually writing it was the cruise. The first draft (of what I am sure will be many, many drafts) is in the works. Most of the first act, the overall outline as well as the first part of the story are written.
How I write: Outline idea, write story, write and format screenplay as I write story.
Draft one will be done by May something or other.
